FAQs

WEDDING

How does the wedding ceremony start to come together?

As soon as you pop me an enquiry, I’ll check the date to make sure I’m available. If I am, I’ll send over my ceremony guide and the different package options I offer (there are three to choose from!). Then you just pick the one that feels right for you and fill out a quick booking form to lock it in.

What can we expect from our wedding ceremony planning call?

It’s not just paperwork – it’s where the magic starts!

Here’s what we’ll chat about, around 4 months prior to your wedding:

  1. Who’s strutting down the aisle – bridal party entrance options

  2. Special ways to honour loved ones who can’t be there physically, but will be with you in spirit

  3. The “I do” stuff – legal vows & ring exchange

  4. The fun extras – handfasting, sand ceremonies & more!

  5. Readings and music

  6. How you want be announced to the world – Mr & Mrs, Mr & Mr, Wife and Wife, the new power couple?

It’s relaxed, full of ideas, and guaranteed to get you excited for your big day.

What happens after our call?

I’ll send you a second form so you can finalise all your choices. Once that’s done, I’ll put together your first draft—then it’s just a bit of tweaking to get everything perfect!

BABY NAMING CEREMONY

Planning Your Baby Naming Ceremony

As soon as you pop me an enquiry, I’ll check the date to confirm availability. If I’m free, I’ll send over my ceremony guide, which includes all the creative elements you might like to include. You simply choose what feels right for your family, complete a quick booking form, and we’re all set!

Why Have a Naming Ceremony?

Your baby is a gift, and this ceremony is a beautiful way to honour the miracle of new life. It’s a chance to acknowledge your child’s unique identity and to express your hopes, values, and dreams for their future.

This day is also about the vital role you—and your loved ones—play in your baby’s life. Through your example, encouragement, and support, they will grow strong in body, mind and spirit, and come to understand the world with confidence and love.

What does the ceremony look like?

1.     Welcome and opening words

2.     Parental promises and vows

3.     Guideparent (or Godparent) vows

4.     Collective guest vows

5.     The naming - with a personal story about how you chose the name and what it means

6.     Readings or Well-Wishes – a selection of short readings or blessings (samples provided on booking)

7.     Naming Certificate Signing – complete with a special photo opportunity

Optional Add-Ons to Make It Even More Special

Here’s where we can really personalise your ceremony. These are just suggestions .. there are lots more options!

  • Generation to Generation Circle
A beautiful way to honour grandparents or even great-grandparents, symbolising the wisdom and love passed down through your family.

  • Sand Ceremony
Perfect for involving siblings or young guests! Each person pours coloured sand into a shared vessel, representing a quality or hope (like joy, wisdom, kindness) for your baby’s journey.

  • Music
Whether you’d like me to sing (I’m a professional vocalist), play your favourite Spotify tracks, or bring in live musicians, music is a wonderful way to set the mood and mark the moment.

COMING OF AGE CEREMONY

More about the Coming of Age Ceremony

This ceremony is a meaningful way to celebrate your child’s transition into their teenage years.

While many of their peers may be having confirmations or other religious milestones, this ceremony offers a non-religious alternative that’s just as special and just as fun.

The ceremony is a chance to acknowledge this important stage of life, honour your child for who they are becoming, and reflect on the values, hopes, and dreams that will guide them into the future. It can include contributions from parents, siblings, and of course the young person themselves.

Each ceremony is thoughtfully crafted to suit your family. It is authentic, heartfelt, and never gimmicky. It’s a celebration that helps your child feel seen, supported, and excited for what lies ahead.
